After battling top-ranked Baylor and refusing to quit in a losing effort last week Johnny Johnson III Jersey, there was some hope that Oregon Men Basketball had rediscovered its competitive fire. Hosting the Pepperdine appeared to be a good opportunity for a tune-up win before taking a break for Christmastime and then beginning conference play. However, it was the Waves that jumped out to the early lead and at some point Oregon fans had to be wondering if this team was ever going to find a way to congeal and pull out some victories. Fortunately, Senior Will Richardson displayed the kind of leadership the Ducks have been lacking and took it upon himself to ensure that Oregon did not fall below .500, something that had not happened in over a decade and would have been the last thing Oregon needed with Pac 12 play looming. Like Chris Duarte last year and Payton Pritchard the year before https://www.odoutletstore.com/Jj_Greenfield_Jersey-62, Richardson took charge of a game that could have gone either way with 19 points and seven assists as the Ducks won 68-59 with a solid second half performance in which they never trailed.Guard Jacob Young was also a force with 10 points and six rebounds but it was the inside play of true Freshman Nathan Bittle that really helped to flip the switch for Oregon, who outscored Pepperdine 44 to 26 in the paint.Already with two imposing centers in NFaly Dante and Franck Kepnang, Oregon seems to have a tower trio on their hands as the 5-star 7-footer stepped in for Dante in the second half after the former experienced knee discomfort. Bittle established himself down low with eight points, five rebounds, and four blocks. Oregon size is something that it will need to take full advantage of to have a successful run at the NCAA Tournament Trey Benson Jersey, but perhaps even more important is the need for an undisputed team leader, a role players like Aaron Brooks, Joseph Young, and Pritchard all excelled at as seniors. The Ducks are already behind the eight ball in conference play with an 0-2 record after falling to Arizona State and Stanford. In order to have a shot at the big dance by March, which is generally when Dana Altman teams are playing their best, Oregon needs to have a solidly winning record in Pac 12 play. It will be an uphill battle, but nothing we haven seen Altman accomplish before. The talent is there, it time for results. So far, the lead up to the Washington game on Saturday feels a lot like it did before the Washington State matchup two weeks back after the firing of Nick Rolovich.Washington (4-5) sits in a nearly identical position against ASU as its Evergreen-State counterpart. Husky head coach Jimmy Lake is suspended for Saturday game after striking a player on the sideline last Saturday against Oregon. Washington also fired its offensive coordinator, John Donovan, after finding itself ranked 112th of 130 FBS teams. Like Washington State (Former coach Nick Rolovich and assistants were fired two weeks before ASU for their refusal to get vaccinated against Covid-19) https://www.assdoutlet.com/Deonce_Elliott_Jersey-114, Washington will have two new play-callers this week against the Sun Devils, but a similar problem did not seem to deter the Cougars in their 34-21 victory over ASU.A defense that fightsIn the team five losses, only one of them (Michigan) did the Huskies lose by more than 10 points (21). Washington has basically been in every game they played so far, including last week ten-point loss to fourth-ranked Oregon Johnny Wilson Jersey. The Husky defense is legit, falling second only to ASU in the conference in yards-allowed per-game with 226. They only allow 19.7 points per-game, which is the best in the Pac-12.So far, quarterbacks are throwing for only 141 yards per-game this season against UW. That is a statistic to flaunt, especially with Jayden Daniels coming off one of his worst performances this season last week against USC.Five starters on the Husky defense have forced more than one turnover on the season, with fifteen total turnovers on the year. Once Washington State forced a couple turnovers against the Sun Devils, it was smooth sailing for the Cougars. That same fate is possible for Saturday.Offense in an identity-crisisQuarterback Dylan Morris will take the snaps for Washington on Saturday. Every week, Morris puts up less-than-impressive numbers than the week before, and so far the offense has little identity. Its head coach was suspended, and its offensive coordinator was fired https://www.assdoutlet.com/Kolbe_Stuckwisch_Jersey-90, all on top of being a bottom-feeder in Division I football offensively. Washington is at square-one on offense, but they also have little to lose at the same time.ASU cornerback Jack Jones is scheduled to return on Saturday after missing the USC game. With the Sun Devil defensive-back corps at full-strength, the matchup to watch will be Jones and Chase Lucas, against receivers Terrel Bynum and Jalen McMillan. Both Bynum and McMillan have over 400 yards receiving on the year, averaging over 13 yards per-reception.The Sun Devils have rarely been at 100% in the secondary, but Saturday is expected to be one of those games. This will be the first time these two programs are matching up since Washington beat ASU 27-20 in Seattle in 2018. https://www.assdoutlet.com/Ricky_Pearsall_Jersey-54 Chad Johnson Jr. Jersey

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (10-5-1, 4-3-1 ACC) wrapped up their regular season slate this past Friday against Syracuse Jaylen Hudson Jersey, and tonight will open up ACC Tournament play at home as the sixth overall seed in the bracket. It been an up and down season so far for Wake, as the Deacs have struggled through some lukewarm form. Theye been playing their best ball all season down the stretch though, and are winners of 6 of their last 7, although the lone loss came to a BC squad that the Deacs were expected to beat. Theye certainly a dark horse for the ACC Tournament if they can be more consistent, but they have to look at the difficult test in front of them before they look forward to the hardware. But before looking at either of those, let look back to senior night last week. Recap: SyracuseThe Demon Deacons held their senior night festivities for Kyle Holcomb and Holland Rula last Friday night ahead of their matchup with the Syracuse Orange (8-7-2, 2-5-1 ACC) and would come out of the matchup on top in a shutout. It wasn Wake best performances for sure, as they did struggle to deal with Syracuse physicality AJ Williams Jersey. The Deacs were pretty sloppy throughout as well, giving Cuse a few opportunities to get back into the game, but they would ultimately weather the Orange second half storm without giving one up. With the win, Wake climbed back over .500 in conference, and guaranteed themselves the privilege of hosting an ACC Tournament game. These are the games that Wake should be winning, and although they didn play their best game, they got the three points that they expected to have at the end of the 90 minutes. The first half was a back and forth affair, with Wake struggling to play out of their own half, but getting some good attacks going when they did. As for the Orange, their press was able to win them the ball high up the field, but they couldn create any concrete chances from those spots. The game seemed to be destined to go into the half tied, with neither team really doing enough to deserve going ahead https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Michael_Kern_Jersey-45, but that changed when Baba Niang came onto the field. Only moments after he came on, in his first appearance since August 26th, he would receive a pass inside from Garrison Tubbs 40 yards out and carry it towards goal. No one stepped out to him until it was too late, and he cut by a defender at the top of the box and lashed one from 20 yards out that would hit the underside of the crossbar and go over the goal line to give Wake the lead in 39th minute. The bench exploded in celebration as Niang sprinted over to hug Bobby Muuss in a nice moment for Niang after all of the time he had to spend on the sidelines injured. As the halftime buzzer sounded, the Deacs would go into the break up a goal, but knowing that they would need to put in a better shift in the second if they were going to come out with the result they wanted. Wake got off to the perfect start out of the break, getting a second goal to seemingly put the game out of reach only five minutes after the break. It was the senior night honoree Kyle Holcomb who would score, as he worked Buster Sjoberg off the ball after a long ball forward from Omar Hernandez, then cutting across Olu Oyegunie and then smacking it back across goal to beat Russell Shealy in goal and double the Deacon lead. The rest of the half was Wake trying to survive, however, as they got much sloppier as the game wore on. Turnovers in their own half were plentiful, and on the break they just were not sharp enough with their passes and decision making. Syracuse started to look a lot sharper going forward, and got some good chances, both through open play and on set pieces, but Trace Alphin was equal to all of them, as he put in the best performance of his Wake career so far. Ultimately, the two goals were enough, and Wake picked up the last three points available this season. As for man of the match in this one, it has to be the keeper Trace Alphin, who made 8 second half saves to preserve the shutout and the win for the Deacs. His two center backs, Nico Benalcazar and Prince Amponsah, also had good games in front of him that warrant recognition, but Alphin to me was the standout player of this game. Preview: VirginiaWith that win the Deacs secured a match at home against one of their bogey teams, the Virginia Cavaliers (6-8-3, 2-5-1 ACC). The Hoos have absolutely dominated Wake in the long history of this matchup, holding a 39-13-8 record against the Deacs, also having never lost a postseason game between the two teams. The Hoos are one of the blue bloods of college soccer, but have had a couple of tough seasons in a row now, and will likely need to win the ACC Tournament to earn an NCAA Tournament berth https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Kendron_Wayman_Jersey-86. They missed the NCAA Tournament last year, but still got the better of the Deacs in their fall ACC Tournament meeting, as Cabrel Happi Kamseu scored a brace to defeat a Wake team that saw a COVID breakout decimate their roster a week prior. It was an extremely disappointing result for Wake, who felt that they were the favorites for the ACC crown when they were fully healthy. This matchup is traditionally one between top 5 teams, but both teams have had their struggles this season and now will have an early ACC Tournament matchup. Tactically, George Gelnovatch lines his Hoos up in a 4-2-3-1 and tends to have his team settle into a mid block and get very compact while defending. It really turns the middle of the field into a marsh that teams have a hard time breaking through. UVA doesn commit many numbers forward, and tends to rely on set pieces, counter attacks, and the individual brilliance of their striker to get them through games. This doesn lead to many chances, but the Hoos are a clinical team and convert a decent enough proportion of those chances to compete in the ACC. Lately, they have not been as solid as they have in years past, looking sloppy on set pieces, making some silly defensive errors, which has forced the Hoos to have to play from behind more than they are used to, and has led to more losses than they have suffered in seasons past. But regardless, Wake will be in a dogfight in this game. The way that UVA plays matches up very well to the way Wake does with how much it cuts off the middle of the field. Wake will need to be able to have quick transitions, win second balls, and hope their wide players can get isolated to make things happen. It isn a tough matchup on paper, but with UVA track record against Wake and the way that their style matches up with the Deacs, it will be a tough result to pick up. The main danger man for the Hoos is number 7 Leo Afonso. The Brazilian sophomore is not the dominant physical forward that the UVA program tends to recruit, like Daryl Dike and Cabrel Happi Kamseu who gave the Deacs fits in the last two years, but he is still a danger. He a player that likes to get in behind, but can also come back to the ball and hold the ball up for his teammates. A strong finisher and a player that can also deliver a good ball, Afonso leads UVA in goals with 8 and 2 assists, leading the team in points with 18. Hel be expected to shoulder most of the attacking load for the Cavaliers tonight, as he has for most of the season. As for Wake, the key player is Kyle Holcomb. Holcomb has been the Deacs most productive player this season on paper, registering 8 goals and 4 assists, but he has had some woes in front of goal. In this game, Wake in all likelihood will struggle to create many chances, but when they do work the ball into the box, it will likely end up at his feet. Last game, he scored the only chance he got, a beautiful goal that recalled his form at the end of last season and in the NCAA Tournament. If he can continue being efficient in front of goal https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Claude_Bragg_Jersey-71, then Wake will be in good shape for this game and going forward. Kickoff for this one is set for 8:00 and it will air on ACC Network. https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Sulaiman_Kamara_Jersey-94 https://www.wfddoutlet.com/At_Perry_Jersey-105

New to the line up this season: we will be examining the various college towns of Wisconsin opponents. Wel be answering all of the important questions Is it a state capital? What is the population? Does it have a Culver?Facts:City: Columbus, OhioSize: 225.97 square milesLocation: 39°5744N 83°0002WPopulation: 905,748 (2020)State Capital? YesTime zone: EasternLandmarks: World Largest Gavel, Statue of Arnold Schwarzenegger https://www.wboutletstore.com/Collin_Larsh_Jersey-46, Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, German VillageAbout:Columbus, the state capital of Ohio is the 14th-most populous city in the United States and the third-most populous state capital. So what makes it so great? Maybe it the World Largest Gavel?Maybe...maybe not.Columbus was planned in 1812 as a political center by the Ohio legislature and was named after you guessed it, Christopher Columbus. The Ohio state government moved to the city in 1816 and Columbus later absorbed Franklinton, which was founded in 1797, giving it the strength of a city and a little settlement.Columbus saw a real boom to it growth with a branch of the Ohio an Erie Canal opened to it in 1831, the Cumberland Road from Maryland reached it in 1836 and when the railroad arrived in 1850.By 1900, the population exceeded 125,000 and Columbus emerged as an important transportation and commercial center. Forty years later more economic growth occurred when a large airplane plan was established and caused more companies to way to come to town Amaun Williams Jersey. From 1950 - 2000 the city land area increased fivefold and the population nearly doubled. When looking for some dirt on Columbus, it all sounds very nice. There is the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Columbus Museum of Art, COSI (Center of Science and Industry) and plenty of parks and sports teams. However, I was able to find a Columbus Sucks facebook page. The page highlighted nine reasons why Columbus sucks. The city has no character. It a planned city plotted in the middle of nowhere designed to be in the middle of Ohio https://www.wboutletstore.com/Cam_Large_Jersey-68. It exists solely because it couldn be decided whether to favor Cleveland or Cincinnati. Essentially, Columbus exists to serve the two real cities. No useful body of water (the pathetic Scioto doesn count)It a bunch of strip malls full of chains that people think are unique. The city has little to no metropolitan area (WTF is Gahanna?)Columbus has very few famous, notable, and important people to come from it especially considering the size of the city. Many smaller cities in Ohio have many more notable residents. Its reputation is being he Average City. It the capital of what many call the most average state in America because of its many different facets. The State Fair sucks and is no better than any other fair Ie been to.I know some people think Columbus is the largest city in Ohio. It kind of is because it did annex surrounding land. A metropolitan area is the real measure of a city though, and Columbus has about 1.75 million people. Northeast Ohio has over 3 million people and the Cincinnati area has over 2 million people. There is basically no reason to visit Columbus other than if you are forced to go there.I mean, this list is quite eye opening. No character? How does the largest city in Ohio have no character? And no useful body of water? I mean, Madison has two lakes that are very usable. And a bad State Fair? How dare they?!?!Also, I can attest to No. 9. When I was a child I visited Columbus and I had no choice in the matter. I was forced to go by my parents.Bars:This picture from the Experience Columbus web site is so clearly staged. No way anyone is having that much fun at a bar in Ohio.Of all of the college bars that I looked into, it looks like the most recommended is the Original Varsity Club. The bar is located 500 yards from Ohio Stadium and according to their site, it is the ideal location for pre-game and post-game festivities. They have 15 televisions inside and five on their patio and not to mention, a jumbotron in the back parking lot.Another local watering hole that stood out is The Library Bar. According to a blog I found about the five best bars on campus, it is a staple of OSU nightlife and is known for their low-priced pitchers and delicious drinks. It also a great stop for those on a budget, or looking for a low-key experience. Most importantly, Columbus does have a Culver. Though only one, so I can imagine the drive thru line is bonkers.Arena:Value City Arena at The Jerome Schottenstein Center is the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes basketball team.Theye joking...? That cannot seriously be the name https://www.wboutletstore.com/Tyler_Mais_Jersey-44, right? The arena is a multi-purpose arena that houses basketball, hockey and concerts. The venue is the biggest in the Big Ten and seats 17,500 for hockey, 19,500 for basketball and about 20,000 for concerts.OSU broke ground for the facility in 1996 hosted it first event, a men basketball game on Nov. 3, 2008. Fun fact, 3,888 cement trucks made their way to the building site, to complete the 770,000 square foot building.Apparently Ohio State loves contributing to global warming. Think of the emissions of nearly 4,000 cement trucks...the carbon footprint...woof... Does your college town suck?Well, when someone makes a Facebook page dedicated to how much you suck, there is no way avoiding the fact that, you suck.Oh and just say Ohio State University, there is no reason to say The Ohio State University, especially with so much emphasis on HE.t pretentious as hell. Stop it.Oh and lastly, otting the I, isn that impressive. It literally just one person walking further away from a line and you people lose your shit over it, every damn time.Ridiculous. No. 4 Maryland women basketball traveled to Harrisonburg, Virginia on Sunday for a matinee matchup against James Madison. Double-digit scoring from four players and a 30-plus point win helped the Terps capture their third win of the season. But the blowout victory was overshadowed by the injury to star guard Ashley Owusu, who appeared to suffer an ankle injury after colliding with James Madison senior guard Jaylin Carodine. Owusu injury means Maryland two leading scorers from a year ago might be out of commission for the next few games as junior guard Diamond Miller, who has not played this season, is still out with knee soreness.Despite Owusu absence, the No. 4 team in the country leaned on a balanced scoring attack led by graduate Chloe Bibby, 19 points, and freshman standout Shyanne Sellers, 11. thought it was probably our most complete 40-minute game https://www.mtoutletstore.com/Jaelyn_Duncan_Jersey-15, head coach Brenda Frese said. e knew how difficult this of a place this was from past experience. I just thought our mentality was right.ere are some takeaways from Sunday outing. The Terps put on another defensive masterclassAfter holding both Longwood and Villanova to 67 points, Maryland defense prevented James Madison from cracking the 50-point mark. The third-highest scoring team in the CAA last season scored just 48 points.Maryland forced 21 turnovers, which it turned into 25 points https://www.mtoutletstore.com/Terrence_Lewis_Jersey-148. The Dukes shot just 33% from the field and 6% from three. In 40 minutes, the home team went 1-for-18 from behind the arc. James Madison made a total of 26 shots, eight of which came from the free-throw line. The Terps also outrebounded their opponent, 47-32. Other than Kiki Jefferson, James Madison top player who put up 16 points, no other player had more than seven. In terms of quarter scoring, Maryland held James Madison to 10 points in the first, 13 in both the second and third frames and a meager nine points in the final period.t was our defense and our rebounding that separated us, Frese said after the game.Frese also noted the importance of junior guard/forward Faith Masonius on the defensive side of the ball, particularly in the team zone set.aith is our best defender in the zone, Frese said. t like having a coach in there where she keeps everybody on the same page and has the communication piece. She just a huge cog that we have to have defensively when wee in zone.aryland had no first-quarter woesWhile the final scores of the Terps first two games heavily favored the fourth-ranked team in the country, they got off to slow starts in the first quarter in both matches. There was no such lethargy against James Madison.o punch first, 29 to 10, in that first quarter was a big difference https://www.mtoutletstore.com/Harrison_Beattie_Jersey-127. Frese said. nd that just a phenomenal mindset by this team with their first road game with fans, which we didn have last season. So, you know, really loved our mentality.he winningest coach in Maryland basketball history was less than pleased with how her team started in its first two outings, but Frese congratulated her players for their work in a brilliant road win on Sunday. e set the tone from the first quarter and really never looked back, Frese said. thought we were able to get so many different contributions on the offensive end. A tremendous road win for us, our first one. Just excited about a really tough road win that we made it look easy.hat to do when youe missing your one-two punch? Most teams would struggle to find results after losing their two best players, but Maryland is one of the few teams in Division I basketball where the next-player-up mentality applies. A veteran-laden team with a myriad of players who can go off for 10-plus points a night helps soften the blow of Owusu injury.ot having Diamond [is] something we have to adapt to, Bibby said. nd I think everyone has elevated their game https://www.mtoutletstore.com/Women-27. Ie done a really great job in these first three games. Wee looking forward to having her back, but I think everyone is elevating really great. Bibby is averaging 10.6 points and knocking down 46% of her shots from the field through three games. From one end of the spectrum to the other, Bibby shared offensive responsibilities with several younger players, including Angel Reese and Sellers. On Sunday, Reese had a 12-point, 14-rebound double-double, and Sellers contributed 11 off the bench. The No. 22 recruit in the Class of 2021 also stepped up when Owusu got hurt. just excited to be here, Sellers said. have a great coach and great teammates that helped me out and helped me evolve my game and understand the game and what I going to see. The Oklahoma Sooners have had plenty of epic tilts with the TCU Horned Frogs, and here to break down another potential barn-burner is Melissa Triebwasser of Frogs OWar. We discuss TCU season up to this point, the progress of former five-star RB Zach Evans, the worst things about the Texas Longhorns and more! The TCU Horned Frogs and Oklahoma Sooners have played the same three Big 12 teams and have produced similar results. How are TCU fans feeling about this team through its first three games?I don think fans reasonably expected TCU to be a true contender in 2020 even before the world went to pieces but I believe most expected them to at least be n the discussion. Losing to Iowa State and Kansas State won look bad at the end of the year, but it the way they lost that frustrating. The infuriating decision to leave Max Duggan on the bench for the entire first half against the Cyclone and the WTF game plan against Kansas State have Frog fans wondering what exactly is happening in Fort Worth https://www.osoutletstore.com/Marcus_Hicks_Jersey-129, and how good this program wants to be this season https://www.osoutletstore.com/Micah_Bowens_Jersey-133. The talent is clearly there, but the game plans have been flat-out weird. The mental errors make sense, but with the extra practice time and through three games, the same mistakes seem to be being made. There a segment of the fan base calling for GP to retire (which is stupid) and another segment excusing everything. Most people seem to fall somewhere in the middle this isn good enough, but there still hope that it will get better.Max Duggan looked sharp in the second half of the Iowa State game and was stellar in the win over Texas. However, Kansas State seemed to bring him back down to earth. What did the Wildcats seem to do defensively that mighte limited his effectiveness? In thinking back about that game, I think Max just had an off day? Sure, the offensive line was a disaster, and the game plan wasn much better, but I didn feel that Kansas State did anything (other than live in the backfield, of course) that TCU hadn seen before. Duggan missed a few wide open receivers and looked worse for the wear after absorbing a ton of hits in the first half. It was just a perfect storm that led to a very uneven performance.Five-star running back Zach Evans missed a lot of offseason reps due to contact tracing, so his lack of playing time early in the season is somewhat understandable. However, do you expect him to start getting a larger workload in the coming weeks? The missed time hurt Evans, both on the field and in the film room. We all keep waiting for the breakout game, but when asked, Patterson keeps alluding to his not knowing the playbook. Same kind of thing with five star DE/LB Marcel Brooks, who seems to make plans when given snaps but whose snaps have been limited due to injury and playbook comprehension issues. It would be great to see Evans et it this weekend, but I also would be completely satisfied if Darwin Barlow got the lead back role Saturday and finally got enough touches to make an impact. He had a great fall camp, and he and true freshman Kenre Miller have been the two best backs through three games.Sticking with that position group, the TCU rushing attack had a rough game against Iowa State, a great game against Texas and a decent game against Kansas State. What should Oklahoma fans expect from the Horned Frogs on the ground?I touched on this in the previous question, but I think we all want to know what to expect out of the ground game. Barlow and Miller look like stars, Daimarqua Foster has had some moments, and of course, Zach Evans is the great unknown. But four guys getting touches isn going to create any rhythm for the backs or the line, and in my estimation, hurt the offensive flow. I think the Frogs need to establish a lead back and let him roll and it needs to not be Duggan https://www.osoutletstore.com/Trejan_Bridges_Jersey-53, who has nearly twice as many rushes as any of the uber talented guys in the backfield with him.If I was drawing up the game plan for Saturday, I am putting a ton of emphasis on play action. That means getting Darwin Barlow and Kendre Miller going early. Duggan should be in the 7-10 attempts range, and Barlow/Miller should have at least double his output.Defensively, TCU has always found ways to take Oklahoma offense out of its comfort zone. On that side, which players should OU fans keep an eye on this weekend? You know Garret Wallow at linebacker, you probably know the safeties Moehrig and Washington and you will know Noah Daniels (a lockdown corner with the physical tools the pro leagues covet) and young linebacker Dee Winters (who has been better than Wallow through three games) https://www.osoutletstore.com/Chris_Murray_Jersey-105. Daniels lining up against these elite Oklahoma WRs will be fun to watch.Considering how inconsistent each of these teams have been, how do you see this one playing out? I really want to call this one for TCU, but I just don see it. I think OU is up big early, the Frogs crawl back into it behind Duggan and Quentin Johnston in the third and early fourth, but the Sooners pull away late to win by two scores.Best place to order takeout in Fort Worth?I said Cane Rosso on the podcast and I will stand by it. Their take and bake option is the best Ie seen and their Honey Bastard might be my favorite pizza, period. I also make a point to support Stir Crazy Baked Goods and Heim BBQ often.Favorite TCU alum outside of sports (other than Reverend Lovejoy from the Simpsons)?Either Dan Jenkins or Bob Schieffer, two of the absolute best in their fields and true TCU legends. What your least favorite thing about the Texas Longhorns or the University of Texas? That they exist? That they still think they run Texas? That they give AM something to crow about? That we can play them in football more than once a year? Tom Herman? That the national media pronounces them BACK every single stinking year and they NEVER actually deserve it. That their alumni are threatening to stop donating because their band and players are taking a stand and not supporting a song with deeply hurtful racial undertones?

Florida State will travel to Chapel Hill this Saturday to face the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Seminoles will look to start a win streak after their victory over Syracuse. Let look at FSU history against UNC.Opponent: North Carolina Tar HeelsFirst matchup: 12/30/1983 (A 28-3 Florida State win)Series record: FSU leads 16-3-1Current streak: The Noles own a one-game winning streak.Last game: Florida State with Coach Mike Norvell signature FSU win, 31-28.FSU pulled out the walk-off win over Syracuse last week. Can the Seminoles take a huge step forward and repeat last year upset win over UNC? Itl be a tough task against the fighting Sam Howells. Speaking of Sam Howell...NoleThruandThru Recruiting ReminiscencesAh, the first recruiting reminiscence that provides some fresh saltiness. Anyone who followed Florida State recruiting over the past few seasons knows about Sam Howell. Howell was originally committed to FSU before flipping to UNC, but no need to delve deep here. Also, I still dislike Walt Bell.Among the 4 and 5 star recruits that FSU has plucked out of the Tar Heel State since the early 2000? The Nicholson brothers (AJ in 2002 and Derek in 2005), RB Jamaal Edwards in 2004, DE Everette Brown in 2005, OL Landon Dickerson and LB Josh Brown in 2016, and DB Hamsah Nasirildeen in 2017. Some panned out, while others didn, but UNC wanted each one of those recruits.Matt Minnick memorable momentThis week trip down memory lane takes us to a game from yesteryear when FSU traveled to Chapel Hill and sent a statement to the Atlantic Coast Conference McKenzie Milton Jersey. No, not the 2003 game when tailback Greg Jones, fresh off an ACL rehab, sent All-ACC safety Dexter Reid flying through the air with a forearm shiver. Sadly, I wasn in the stands for that one, although let be reale can always enjoy watching that knockout on repeat. Instead, we go back even further to the magical 1993 season. After escaping with a few close calls in their inaugural ACC campaign the season prior, the 1993 Seminoles started like a freight train. After blanking the Kansas Jayhawks in the Kickoff Classic, the oles had outscored their first two ACC opponents (the Duke Blue Devils and Clemson Tigers) by a combined score of 102-7. But the matchup against UNC was supposed to be different. The Tar Heels finished 1992 with a 9-3 record, including a Peach Bowl victory over the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Returning most of its starters, North Carolina opened the 93 season with a 31-9 Pigskin Classic thrashing over a top 25 USC Trojans squad in Anaheim. That set up a top 15 matchup with FSU coming to town and the ACC founding fathers in Chapel Hill were finally going to exact some revenge after their heese and wine basketball crowd got pantsed by Florida State in the Dean Dome. However, Derrick Brooks and Co. had other plans. On that September afternoon, a record crowd at Kenan Stadium showed up with designs on tearing down goal posts. It was being billed as the iggest game in North Carolina history. Or at least that what the talk was before kickoff. And for a fleeting minute, the dream seemed possible https://www.fssoutlet.com/Caleb_Blake_Jersey-111. Eventual Heisman winner Charlie Ward tossed his first interception of the season and a diving TD grab by a Tar Heel a few minutes later led to a 7-0 lead for the home team. Unfortunately for Mack Brown squad (6 years into his first stint on Tobacco Road), that was the only score on the day for the powder blues. Ward found freshman Warrick Dunn for the equalizer late in the first quarter, as Ward went 7-7 on the drive. The second quarter was quiet, save for an FSU forced fumble leading to a Scott Bentley field goal, giving the Seminoles a 10-7 halftime advantage. Florida State then blew things open in the third quarter. A 33-yard Ward strike to Kevin Knox made the score 17-7 and another field goal stretched it to 20-7 a possession later Chubba Purdy Jersey. Two minutes later, Brooks put the game on ice with a pick-6, which was incredibly his third consecutive game scoring a defensive touchdown, personally outscoring FSU first four opponents. When the dust settled, Florida State won 33-7 and all of us Seminole fans who made the trip enjoyed a great time celebrating on Franklin Street. (The video starts with the UNC return, but you can see all three consecutive scores beginning at 2:06). Matt Minnick, the resident Tomahawk Nation historian, is a Tallahassee native and life long Seminoles fan, attending over 225 FSU football games across the country since 1986. The Boston Bruinschosen Fabian Lysell within just the initially spherical of the 2021 NHL Draft within June, a final decision achieved with instantaneous enjoyment. Despite the fact that Lysell upside and ability communicate for on their own, the Bruins experienced some youthful skill ready inside of the wings within Jack Studnicka.Studnicka is made up of much more than gotten his ft soaked at the NHL place, eating performed 22 every month period online games and an more 5 postseason game titles around the past 2 seasons. The 22-calendar year-aged includes particularly 4 information within just that span, although accumulating 56 info within 71 AHL game titles. While the quantities haven particularly translated for Studnicka, he is however forward of Lysell inside words of improvement. Getting detail, specially as youthful and gifted as Boston is at the instantly wing posture, is never ever a terrible matter. Nonetheless if Boston is hunting for fast accomplishment, there a scenario towards be intended for either avid gamers toward maybe break the roster faster quite than later on.Studnicka provides versatilityWhile his principal placement incorporates been at immediately wing at the NHL stage, Studnicka is a natural and organic middle. He performed middle sparingly within just his initial 2 decades inside the NHL, having simply taken 116 faceoffs and profitable 55 (47.4 %). There completely exertion in direction of do for Studnicka at the faceoff dot https://www.bostonbruinsoutlet.com/Bruins_Hats-5, yet it an more reward for the ahead toward be in a position in direction of action within just and choose faceoffs at any reality inside a match. Studnicka includes as well reportedly more muscle mass and far more physicality within just the offseason as properly, producing him even further more suitable for a position at heart.Studnicka looked he in direction of be basically starting off toward buy tender in just Boston and can be expecting both a centre or a wing purpose involving the in advance corps this coming period. The last issue in direction of increase is function scoring, and ideally that will appear this year.A clean start out with LysellBoston feels such as they uncovered a diamond in just the hard with Lysell (or quite possibly n missed diamond https://www.bostonbruinsoutlet.com/Bruins_Mike_Reilly_Jersey-158,as Lysell was remarkably ranked still handed previously mentioned within the very first spherical). The in advance was dominant in just junior hockey and by now received 26 game titles of educated knowledge inside of Sweden final department When he maintained accurately a few information as a skilled. Even though Lysell is unknown with the Bruins or the NHL layout of enjoy, his pace and stickhandling expertise on your own crank out him a match within any team procedure. Introducing pace upon the wings, inside truth, fills a need to have for Boston, and today NHL unquestionably favors a participant with Lysell means fixed (i.e. ast and talented.Lysell obtain-issue offer with Boston presents money and roster adaptability, nonetheless Boston desires in direction of be watchful not towards hurry his advancement. Starting off Lysell off inside of Providence may well be the route in direction of shift Cam Neely Jersey, nevertheless ought to he impress at exercising camp or after he becomes a shot at the NHL issue, there a probability that he surpasses Studnicka upon the organizational element chart. It not a terrible predicament towards contain, nevertheless it suggests a ton (both of those over Lysell and above the country of the Bruinsfarm procedure) that the Bruinsgreatest present-day very first-spherical decide on may possibly presently be organized in direction of be expecting that greatest desired destination.
